Touchbase Operational Director

Emma Nichols is our Operational Director here at TouchBase, overseeing the Engine Room Team, and facilitating our regulatory and quality assurances processes.

Emma completed a degree in English Literature and then embarked on a variety of commercial roles over a twenty-year period. A period on the shop floor was followed by positions in buying and marketing and led to the position of Buying & Marketing Director for a national retailer. She subsequently worked for several high-profile suppliers in her sector, gaining further experience in sales, marketing and logistics, before re-entering retail in yet another procurement role. This was followed by a period of consultancy in buying and logistics, before she decided to take up a different direction in her career, retraining as a secondary school English teacher.

Emma completed her PGCE at UCL’s Institute of Education and went on to work in large mainstream girl’s state school in London. This experience supported Emma to understand the context that many of those we work with have difficulties with.

Emma works very closely with all those involved in the processes involved here at TouchBase, supporting the day to day functioning as well as the wider vision and growth of the CIC (not for profit) to benefit all those impacted by relational trauma and loss. She supports the vision of TouchBase to see dignity restored in children and young people so that they can be freed up to reach their potential. Emma is envisioned by being part of such a dynamic organisation.
