Suzi is an accredited Play Therapist (registered with B.A.P.T), Suzi has a wealth of experience working therapeutically with children and adolescents who have suffered developmental trauma and relational loss. Suzi has experience both in the UK and abroad. She also has worked with children in Brazil. Having graduated in Drama and Theatre Studies, Suzi implemented drama, movement and sensory workshops in a Special Education Needs school.

Since qualifying as a Play Therapist in 2002, over the past 16 years Suzi has gained an extensive level of global experience working alongside traumatised children in various countries including Canada and Australia. She has a specialism in the area of sexual abuse and trauma, therapeutic parenting consultation and reflective space.

As part of the TouchBase team, she provides individual AATI therapy to children and adolescents using PACE, DDP and Theraplay™ informed practice. Working integratively and holistically, Suzi draws from an extensive repertoire of methods and theories linked to child development, attachment theory, neuroscience and trauma, as well and providing trauma-informed psychoeducation to parents/ carers and teachers. Suzi acknowledges that children with developmental vulnerabilities communicate distress through their behaviour. She is passionate about working closely with the individual and their carers to strengthen attachment and create their own coping tool-box to help them regulate their emotions and build resilience.
